NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) is one of, if not the only sport whose acronym has become an everyday word.

When my oldest was about four, I was sitting there rambling on about my latest round and how it COULD have been a 64 if only I hadn't shot a 92 and she looks at me and my favorite green sweatshirt that says "Golf" on it and says "dad, do you know that golf spelled backwards says "Flog"?
