Soggy general chos chicken and the poor service. And we were all so excited to have a new place to eat.

It took us 2-1/2 hours from start to finish. While we waited numerous people walked out...even after they got the drinks for the table.

Anyone else try it yet???

Got my chinese food from Happy Dragon tonight, realized they were open when I went to Rite Aid and thought darn it I could have tried them.

Think I am glad I didn't.. :killingme

Is it a carryout and resturant? I thought it was just a carryout with tables..

It is both carry out and dine in. The place has much potential with new chief and staff:killingme

OK, so since they just opened the service should only get better...but, the food:barf: tasteless and spongy.

I heard that goodview is closing due to the old mans health

Some of my clan went there opening night, they thought it wasnt bad, service a bit slow, prices reasonable. Its not a China Harbor or Susuzhan Gardens(sp) in Waldorf which are the 2 best Ive been to in SoMd but might be nice for a quick Chinesse fix if your in the area instead of driving 15 -20 miles/minutes to get Chinesse. They have a nice lunch menu with very decent prices. The DW brought home beef egg foo young and fried rice for me and it wasnt bad, proably better if it hadnt been reheated.

The place was packed on opening day both lunch and dinner and I would think that maybe once they work out the kinks of being new it should get better. I was told there is about 20 tables inside if you desire to eat in.

At least this is a start for some better eating (sitdown) places in the Northern parts of St. Marys. Ledo's has been the best IMO for sometime, now with this place and the Mexican place in Mechcanicsville we are beginning to get more choice's.

That sucks. There isn't very many places to eat down this way and I was hoping that would be a great place. Personally, I'm not a fan of Chinese food, but other members of my family are....

Szechuan Garden in Waldorf is by a mile the best Chinese food in SoMD. There is NO other place that even comes close. It is NOT cheap but a perfect example of getting what you pay for. Their shrimp with fresh hot peppers is crazy good!!

I agree that they are very good, but if you have never tried China Harbor in Solomons, you should give them a try. These 2 places, Szechuan and C Harbor are proably neck and neck as to who is the best.
Now the best Chinese lunch time buffet is Hunan Star in LaPlata.
