Go see it and you'll be glad that you did. This movie in my opinion is on the same level as the Exorsist, but I enjoyed the story here a lot more. There's just nothing like a movie about a seemingly normal family following their dream of owning a beautiful home in the country only to find out that the house is possessed by demons and that you can't leave because they have attached themselves to you and will follow you. Scary stuff for sure. Now you throw in the fact this is all based on true events and it makes it all that much better. Its been a long time since we've seen a horror film of this caliber come out of Hollywood.

I can live without a good story of demonic possession, tyvm!

Excellent movie (The St. Charles theatre was also great!!)

I wouldn't necesarilly call it "on the edge of your seat" scary, though I did jump a few times. It had a bit of humor to lower the heart rate levels when necessary. I really enjoyed it and the story intrigued me. I spent the ride home googling Ed and Lorraine Warren and the Perron family.

I give it and 1/2

I thought the same thing The story gives me the chills. Could you imagine living that nightmare????

No way!!!! I can guarantee it would not have taken me 10 years to move

I think the main reason why it took them so long to move was due to the fact that the "demons" attached themselves to the owners. The ending of the movie left a lot of questions un-answered for me. It would have been nice to see how the family leanred to cope with the evil forces with in their home.
