The Dark Knight - Batman

If I saw someone with their kid in there I would go "what a dumbass". But my mom made me stop watching "Good Times" after J.J. got shot
A few people from work went to go see it this weekend. They said that it was too "dark" of a movie to take kids to see it. I wanted to take my 8 year old niece. Do you think it's too "dark"?

I wouldn't take anybody under 13. Joker might be disturbing to the kids. PG-13 now days is the old R of the 70's/80s after all.

I enjoyed the second installation, but there was just...something missing to me. I don't know if it was a lack of action like the first one, or too much politics and drama. I will have to see it again.

Heath was delightful as the Joker though.

They could have found someone better to portray Rachel than Maggie Gyllenhal. It all worked out in the end though. Mwahaha!

Hey, is it me, or does it look like Christian Bale lost about 30 pounds? He looked a bit scrawny to me compared to the first one. He is also in the news for yellin at his momma. lol

You seem to know an awful lot about me and my family? Like for instance, you knew my niece's name or the first initial of it.

HHMMMMMM, but isn't she your cousins daughter ? That makes her your cousin not niece! SILLY SOCKI

And you know how close my cousin and I are. We've grown up like sisters. You also know that her kids have always called me aunt. Grow up and stop being such a pothead Nancy!

Eh, it's all based on the kid. My eight year old brother had absolutely no problem with it, though we were nervous it would be too dark for him and were prepared to leave if it was too much. But then, we knew he wouldn't - he was watching Lord of the Rings with only a little bit of scared-eye-coverage when he was 5. On the other hand, my 11 year old cousin, when her parents took her to the Dark Knight this weekend, was terrified and hasn't slept in her own bed yet.

Saw it this past Tuesday and it was wonderful! Heath Ledger - what a shame that talent is gone! I liked Christian Bale as Batman. Anybody know why they swapped out Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes? Her choice or theirs?

Probably Tom's choice.

Couple of my guy friends were disappointed b/c they didn't think Maggie Gyllenhaal was quite as hot as Katie Holmes. :lmao: I kind of liked her better, though, I think she was more convincing as an attorney, largely because she doesn't look like she's 14, and it's not as if she does that much anyway,.
