Dear Forumites:

I... am a slacker. I have waited until the last possible week to write my research paper. I hate writing research papers... I feel this will be the downfall of my college existance...but I digress.

I need your help, dear forumites. I need to create an original source, and so I have chosen this forum to do so. I am creating a poll and asking for your response to the question.

I have not decided my position on the death penalty yet... I will need to come to my own conclusion prior to writing my paper.

But you all have opinions... I know you do... so share them with me.

The death penalty: Right or Wrong? Why do you feel that way?

I think the death penalty is right for practical reasons, not moral or religious. So I didn't vote.

I walk the line on this one....on one hand it is the court "playing God"....but on the other hand some should be put to death for the crime they committed and not live the rest of their live on my tax dollars

I'm with Auntie Vrai, I'm not going to vote

Has confinement issues..
Prison's are crowded and the inmates live better than some children in the country. My best friend from school was murdered last year and I'd like to personally bleed the #%)#&#$)(% to death.
He left her kids orphaned.
His statement on MySpace just after his arrest said he was sick with greed and crazy for the psuedo respect that ghetto ass drug dealer types think they deserve.

I feel the death penalty is right for mainly practical reasons, prisoners cost a fortune to keep alive. If we can't kill the worst of them we should be able to work them to freakin' death. They need to serve whatever is left of their violent pathetic lives as a warning to others.

Oh for Christ's sake old man... if I put too many choices then people complain. If I don't put enough choices, people complain. There are the two main answers for both yes, no, and I don't know. It is impossible to please everyone 100% of the time.

I'm simply asking for help and, in turn, encouraging people to write their comments or reactions to the topic at hand. No where in my question did I say, "Hello... please be a tard today and insult the person conducting the pole."

... it is an expression of exasperation... and you have made numerous references when contradicting me to my being young and you being older and presumably wiser.

I'm simply asking that you not act like a tard and let the poll serve as it will.

I am a total sweetheart...that's the funniest part about the whole thing! You, from the moment I got here, have been nothing but a pain in my rear... when you're not sinking to the most basic of reasons to insults me you're picking apart everything I say and it's frustrating.

I don't think it's too much to punish someone by taking their life after they have willfully taken that of at least one other. Especially those who clearly lack remorse and simple decency; they should be put out straight away.

Those who are viewed as remorseful may be spared, but still given to chain gang-type labor until they are no longer able.
