Here's the deal: small flatbed trailer is up for registration renewal; however, it can't be renewed in my deceased husbands name of course so I am trying to have the title changed to my name. Why should that be so difficult? I've made 3 trips to DMV and each time I get someone else who tells me something different. I've called, read online and ask what I need...and have all needed docs etc....at least until I actually get there in person...then it is all wrong. So I'm hoping to get some info from anyone who has had experience. Here's what the office has told me:
I've been told to use the automated machine. (wrong, can't be done that way)
I've been told to have a copy of my Letter of Admin. (wrong again, need original)
I've been told the trailer does not need to be inspected because the title says N/A.
Now, if I go back the 4th time and someone else says it DOES need an inspection, I might snap!!
So my question is: Do you think I should get an inspection on this trailer? And who in southern Md would or could do a state inspection on 2004 flatbed trailer.
