The Flippin' Chinese

The Chinese have been praticing clandestine chemical warfare longer than you realize.
Did you ever wonder why it seems like our schools are getting dumber and dumber. Why, over the past 30 years or so, they have had to dumb down the curriculum taught to the students and expect less from them when the day is done, as compaired to "back in the day"? Have you ever wondered about the mental capacity of the teachers themselves? It is not the schools fault.

I finally figured it out one day when I had to teach a class to some young Navy electronic techs. After writing on the board for a few hours I got lightheaded and had to take a break. That is when I figured out the Chinese have been poisoning our teachers and kids for many years with the invention and production of "dry erase markers and cleaner". For about 180 days a year teachers and our little loved ones are shut up in a room left to inhale a myriad toxic solvents and dyes that can rot their brain and lungs. Now we have generations of dry erase babies teaching the next batch. This will go on forever causing a forever, spiral decay in the brainpower of our new generations unless we do something about it...

Bring back Chalk and we will once again rule the thinking world.

Chalk "may" cause lung cancer, but it wont make you dumb.... besides... it makes for a great antacid when you forgot the Tums.

That is my theory and I am sticking to it.!!!!! Find yourself an MSDS sheet or take a few big inhales of a fresh marker and see for yourself.

Expo dry erase markers (the brand most available) are non-toxic and are made in the USA.

I know nothing
theres probably more lead in a tackle box, then there is in these toys. No one seems to be recalling split shot or making sinkers out of other metal

Where's the anti-vaccine space shot, she can tell you why.

or are you suggesting the lack of lead in our current society is causing the rise in Autism??

I'm saying that our babies have been sucking on and playing with lead based toys and being burped with lead based bibs from China for years. Even trace amounts of lead in a childs system can have detrimental results to development.

has really pizzed my boy off now. Thanks to their continuing efforts to poison the free world, we had to take my son's "Sarge" jeep away from him. Mattel is sending us a refund and all but how do you explain to a 5 year old that his toy has potentially harmful paint and it has to be taken away? Luckily he was just a wee bit upset but still, who should be the target of your anger? The Chinese and all the production short cuts they take with food and finished products or the American firms that continue to do business with them?

According to mattel's website they are implementing a host of new safeguards to prevent this from happening again. Why weren't they doing this before? They at least owe it to their stockholders to take every precaution to protect the consumer. BUT the subcontractor that painted the toys were given safe paint and they decided to use a lead filled paint instead.

Ok rant done carry on.

Could that be considered a reflection on the true feeling of americans and national pride?
We wave flags all day and chant USA USA, but in the end we drive home in japanese cars fueled by arab oil, drink imported beer, have a fruit imported from south america, watch a tv made in korea, wear a t-shirt made in mexico, watch the kids play outside with chinese toys, we buy our wives diamonds from africa.
We watch the news and sit there and are dimly aware of the connection our comfort has to the abuse and turmoil engulfing other regions. But we flip the channel to something lighter.
Yet we moan and complain about the decline of the US, about why isnt our govt doing anything about it, we blame illegals and arabs for our problems, now we are to blame paint and magic markers for a generation of dumb kids?
Our very own gluttonous consumer attitudes have caused this dilema.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself: CASH CHECK OR CHARGE for a change.
We cant fill a hole in our national psyche with cheap material garbage.
I can only imagine i'll be called some kind of liberal hippy or some other carp. I'm not. I do all of the things I mentioned above, but I dont/wont blame outsiders for a broken country. :coffee:

And when we were kids the rails of our cribs that we teethed on were painted with lead paint, the high chairs and stools we sat on while we ate.. the dishes we ate off were painted with lead paint, the rooms and houses we lived in were painted with lead paint.. ALL the toys we had that were painted were painted with lead paint.. (I'm assuming you are my age).. and we all turned out ok.

Oh and don't forget asbestos.. our houses were filled with it, our comforters, our mattresses..

How much is too much? How much is dangerous? Apparently not as much as we were in contact with.

Bob, telling everybody that you ate lead and turned out fine is not going to convince anyone. If you want to make that point, you need to find somebody that actually did turn out fine.
