We ate dinner there tonight. The servers were friendly, but short handed. Our waitress was Jazmin, very nice too.

The food was good... but not wow. We had seafood. HUbby has the Lexington Platter and I had the stuffed shirmp. Crab dip for an appetizer. It wasn't really hot enough.

SO it was good... but I think we'll stick with Stoney's.

NOT impressed with the wings at all, you can get the same exact ones at Checkers. Nothing special about them at all. Same can be said about the wings at Grid Iron Grill. I guess I have to go to the Pub in Leonardtown to get wings with any flavor. Tomorrow night is 25 cent wings from 4 to 9. Well worth it.

I agree Grid Iron Grill wings were 5 out of 10 for me but the cheese steak was 9 out of 10. I have also heard Leonardtown Pub has great wings, I will have to check them out.

We ate there last night and it was ok. I had the roast and hubby had the country fried steak both of us had corn and mashed potatos with it. I didn't care for the roast and thought the whole meal was lacking flavor. Hubby said the country fried steak was ok but lacking flavor. We get the same meals when we go to Bob Evans and it is so much better at Bob Evans. I would go there again and try something else.

Meal was AWFUL

So my boyfriend, daughter, and I tried the Lexington last night for the first time.

It was one of the worst two dining experiences I have ever had.

Boyfriend ordered the salmon with green beans and coleslaw, daughter chicken fingers and fries, and I ordered the crab stuffed flounder with a garden salad and mashed potatoes and a bowl of crab soup.

First of all.... the lightening was very, very bright in the restaurant. Bright enough it made me very uncomfortable. We were sat at a table in the center of the room. I'm a booth lover (for a little privacy), but there are no booths available at the Lexington.

Our waitress took our drink orders quickly (water, tea, pink lemonade) and we had our drinks immediately. She came back to take our dinner orders. She got distracted at the end by something at the kitchen and walked away without taking our menus.

When she did come back to fill our drinks, I gave her the menus and my boyfriend stopped her to order wine for dinner (did I mention he hadn't finished ordering when she walked away?). There was no wine or drink list. When he asked what the house wines were, she didn't know. Finally, I suggested a Pinot Grigio (I knew the Indian Restaurant used to have that) and she left.

I received my garden salad just after, and my boyfriend received his chilled wine (not with his meal). The garden salad was okay. It wasn't laid out attractively. It had two cherry tomatoes and two cucumbers cut.... oddly. My boyfriend used to work in a commercial kitchen and I'm a good cook myself and the vegetables were obviously cut by someone untrained. The house vinaigrette was alright but very sugary. I was puzzled by receiving my salad before my soup.

The soup never came.

It took an hour from entering to get our meal.

My boyfriends wine was warm by the time the meal arrived. It was also very cheap, acidic wine.

The whole time the owner, (dressed in ratty jeans, a dirty shirt with one corner tucked into his jeans, and the rest left out), wandered filling drinks. He had to ask people over and over again what they were drinking interrupting their conversations. This might have been charming if the food was fabulous. It wasn't.

My boyfriend's green beans were canned. He said the coleslaw was okay, but not much flavor. The salmon was alright.

I had the mashed potatoes which were lumpy. The gravy was bland. The first bite I had of the flounder and crab was filled with bones. I spit it out. I started picking through the crab for more bones when I started really SMELLING the fish. It smelled awful. Smelled OLD. I love fish. I love crab stuffed fish. I was afraid if I ate this I would be sick.

My daughter's chicken fingers and fries were fine.

We decided to leave (we had promised my daughter dessert but went to Foodlion to pick something up). We told the waitress to take off soup (she offered to bring it out for home, we told her no).

I am starving (this is the first meal I've had all day).

My boyfriend picked up the check (I was supposed to but he felt bad) and left a very nice tip (which he shouldn't of).

It was until we were driving home he told me the meal cost $60.00 with the tip. I was livid. The bill was not itemized but this is what we figure.

Chicken/Fries $6.00
Crab Flounder $16.00
Salmon $12.00
Wine???? 4.00 for a glass?
$38.00

They charged us $51.00 before the tip.

If the soup was left on it was $6.00.
$44.00

Was the wine $10.00 a glass? The bottle couldn't have cost that.

They couldn't even get the check right.

We are NEVER going back.

The Old Town Pub in Leonardtown has AWESOME wings. The Old Bay wings are good and the Steamed Crab wings are the bomb.

I wish I could order the Lexington omelet right now. This airport bar has good drinks but not breakfast.

We went last night for dinner.

Walking in, the light was very bright. She took our drink orders before we could even sit down. Halfway through our wait time, they dimmed the lights, but they were almost too dim. ( I know.. too bright, too dim.. just how it seemed after sitting in the bright light for so long) When our food came, it didn't come at the same time. I had to wait a few minutes before mine came out.

Dad ordered the steak and stuffed shrimp special, medium well. It came out looking medium rare, though somehow it was dry. The waitress watched him cut the steak and saw how it was not medium well. He didn't feel like waiting for it to be cooked more, so he dealt with it. Mom ordered the crab stuffed flounder with green beans. She liked it, but found a few bones. The green beans were canned, but she liked how they were seasoned. I ordered the seafood pasta with alfredo. The sauce was good and cheesy. It came with scallops, crab meat, and shrimp. I did not care for the shrimp as they were too fishy tasting for me.

We had to ask for drink refills. My dad's glass was completely ignored. Another waitress actually came over and asked if he wanted a refill. I joked that we should've tipped her instead of our own waitress.

When the table behind us was finished, they blew the candle out or it went out on its own, and that's all we could smell. Maybe they could put actual candles in the holders so they could last more than one sit down. I can't stand the smell of a blown out candle, especially while I'm trying to eat.

Overall, it was ok and we'd probably go back again. Though, personally, it would not be my first choice.

I've ordered food and drinks a few times and didn't really have any complaints. Their grilled chicken is cooked just right and they have Yuengling~!

I found it to have a nice atmosphere. And karaoke night is awesome so check it out.The manager is a nice guy, very talkative, and has a bunch of interesting stories. Give them a chance.

:yay:

I went in there for breakfast recently with a couple people from out of town. The waitress was new (I guess she only works Sundays so she's still working on the menu) and she was a little confused and messed up my order. When they brought the food out we let them know about the mistake and I'm tellin you at least 4 people came by our table apologizing profusely for the mix up. We didn't yell or anything...we just said it was wrong and we were OK with that. They offered to fix it, to comp the meal, etc etc...they were incredibly nice about the whole thing and were bending over backwards to correct the problem.

I've also noticed that they occasionally tend to get distracted and may disappear for a little while or might not bring out your food very quickly due to this or that, but it's never intentional. I've had minor issues a few times that I've been there and each time as soon as I let them know my problem, they did their best to fix it immediately -- which included getting my food to me when it had been taking a little while longer than we'd expected.

So sure, their service isn't always great because they seem a little inexperienced and may occasionally mess things up. But are they ignoring you or being mean or any of that? Not at all. They are always putting in top notch effort to make sure you enjoy your meal there. If they screw up then they seem to bend over backwards to fix things. It's been a long time since I've seen a place go as far as they did and it was really appreciated. I see people make these complaints about the Lexington, but the common denominator seems to be that most of them don't say anything about it and just whine afterward...because those that said something typically had it taken care of. My suggestion? If you have any problem with your service at all, speak up. They'll listen.

We're going to dinner there tonight. Is it still a good place to go? Food and service still :yay::yay:?

I've always had quick, good service. I've never eaten there for dinner, only lunch, and my meals have always been good. Sometimes I'll go for happy hour and get the crab dip. It's good, but doesn't have a lot of crab in it. Mostly it's cheese. Their cream of crab soup is really good!

My husband has gone for lunch and wasn't impressed with the food but I've been wanting to go there for awhile. I'm bringing the kids to his work tonight so I suggested just walking there to eat dinner. He reluctantly agreed, just to shut me up about wanting to go.
