Anybody watch it? It was on up here yesterday for like 4 hours. I was GLUED to the set. Seriously. Unbelievable what the guys encountered, the countries, landscape, people, trouble along the way. How cool would THAT be!?

And for those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about...

Definitely worth watching, especially now that it's snowing. :neener:

Man was that great. I ripped it off a torrent maybe a year ago and loved watching it. I heard some people complaining about it - "Man, they had a support team, anybody could do that!"

Well, I would like to see YOU do it - support team or not. Besides, they only meet up with the the following team at certain intervals. KTM messed up big time BTW, by not choosing to sponsor them.

I agree. The support team was not allowed to "help" in any way, other than to provide fuel. They were on their own for repairs, shelter, food...amazing how cool the folks were, at least until the one support dudes tent and rain gear got ripped off.

I was fascinated. I can't wait for it to come on again. I only caught about the last half of it. I caught from Mongolia to the end. What a fantastic opportunity.

KTM missed out BIG time. Except for the frames breaking under the HUGE overloading of their gear on the back of the bikes, I was impressed with the BMW's.

Though, I'm hoping Buell was taking notes. I REALLY like the Ulysis, but I would like it more if I could stick a set of nobbies on under it.

Yeah, I was surprised Buell put out a bike like that. I will get one of these dual sports eventually. I may not make it around the world, but I will atleast explore some of this continent.

There was also a guy who went around the world on a R1, but he wasn't a movie star and did not get a TV show...

I met a guy at Daytona Bike Week about 6 years ago. He had lost both of his legs in Vietnam, and went around the world on his Softail. Unreal.

I can't even ride across Calvert County without a back ache, numb fingers... :notworthy

Yeah, he sounds like a unique guy. I moved here from Florida last spring and I am not used to not being able to ride my bike for extended periods. Also the place I'm renting has no garage. I'm looking at my bike out on the deck right now and there is like 4" of snow on it :yikes:

Time to get a bike cover, build a cheap carport, or clean out some space in the shop (hard to do).
