As nasty as that is I expect that sort of thing there.Food court workers at malls are the worst!
I know many educated people that do this. I see it as much from engineers and officers as I do from mechanics.

Taking this in a slightly different direction....How old are you?
The pandemic lowered the average life expectancy in the United States by more than 12 years.
With all due respect, I get what you're saying, but -Taking this in a slightly different direction....
I think that age is a huge angle to the COVID-19 reaction. Think about this way; the last truly bad "pandemic" was 1968. No, not talking about the Democratic Convention that year, but this:

So someone would have to be over 55 to even have the slightest memory of this event.
For those of us born earlier, we can remember the 1957 pandemic. And before that polio and the need for the sugar cube annual vaccine event at school (which went on until at least the mid-late 1960s).
For most folks under 50, what major earth-shaking, global event have they experienced personally (that isn't financially-related)? If there were any I can't recall....
"Younger folks" also live in a world where things work and food for most/opportunity for most (etc.) is the norm. For those of us a bit older, the world we grew up in was one where things didn't work nearly so well (tuning up the car was a regular affair and "tuning" didn't mean what it means today), food was ridiculously expensive (compared to today), and "disease" was expected (remember chicken pox parties, the annual round measles made, etc.?). The world a person who was born in 1980 and later is quantitatively and qualitatively better than the "one before." By far. It's not even close.
Not that this is a new dynamic; the same could be said when we now-old folks were the youngsters (and so on back into the past). You want to read about an event to freak out over and yet "they" (our grandparents and great-grandparents, etc.) carried on? Then, go here:

How's this for global impact? The single worst human virus pandemic in known history! Due to the number of deaths,
Anyway, my point is that how one reacts to this pandemic is directly related to how one sees this pandemic. Us oldsters could perhaps be a bit more "compassionate" toward the young'uns and the young'uns could perhaps calm down and be a little less enthusiastic about popping off with the "Okay, boomer" line?

Maybe an app that plays the happy birthday song twice, so they know when to stop? Otherwise there would be a shortage on soap too.
Alice's Restaurant. Especially if you've butterfingered.Or, the Lord's prayer. It's just the right length of time, I'm told by my Episcopalian friends!
If that's not your cup of tea - here's a suggested song you can use for any decade you prefer:
Everybody Sing!
I don't mean to push face shields for protection over the face masks... but I want to slow/prevent the propagation of COVID 19. I want to stop people from getting sick and dying: me included. So I'm willing to appear foolish to make that my objective.
Experts are saying masks don't prevent catching the virus. I understand their logic. But. for the uninfected, shields cover the face from airborne spray caused by sneezes and coughs. Shields prevent you from touching your face. Shields can be cleaned with soap & water and reused indefinitely.
But when I Internet search "face shields vs masks COVID 19", I get no comparisons. Yes, I get plenty of stories of people making shields for med people, but NONE regarding the significant benefits of wearing a shield verses a cloth mask for the uninfected. Maybe I just don't know how to properly Internet search.
To stop the spread of COVID 19, everyone should be wearing a face shield while out and about... no matter how stupid they look. Wash hands and shield afterwards. I believe this would quickly end the pandemic. The virus would unable to spread... period.
I hope I save one person from sickness or worse.
Are we talking about the plastic shields like people use when using a grinding wheel? Harbor freight had them for something like 27 cents before this outbreak. Okay they were a little more expensive than that, if we're talking about the same things they had plenty. That may be the ticket! Spittle spray shields! If my memory serves me right, you can only purchase face shields from a medical supply company in bulk.

Very similar and would serve the same purpose. The ones for woodworking and metal grinding are a little sturdier. I would be more inclined to wear one for those than a dust mask because of the facial hair. Dust masks work, but there are gaps around the perimeter.Oh, I don't know. I'm thinking these.

You a hot mess. And dumber than a fence post.
And, you are a braggart from what I have read on this forum so far. I am new. Looking forward to more laughs!
