The hands-down best coffee I've ever had was at an Italian place my brother and SIL took me to in Arkansas. French press, but the coffee was as smooth as silk, no acid or aftertaste, absolutely delicious. Never been able to duplicate it.

The best cup of coffee I've ever had was at the old Captain's Table on Solomons. They got bagged coffee concentrate and added it to hot water in an urn and it was sublime. I asked the owner what brand it was so I could have it for home and he told me how it was made.

A very close second was at a B&B in Newport RI. The breakfast babe hooked me up with some coffee packets to take with me.

Gotta say, coffee from a French press is pretty damned awesome - but I have never brewed a pot that didn't have coffee grounds in my cup.

Damn I miss Captain's Table. Portobello mushroom stuffed with crab imperial. :swoon:

Best coffee was from a restaurant in wildwood in the old folk’s section. I’ve forgotten the name, but I remember you needed a reservation just to get past the gate guard.

you'll never convince me anything made by Keurig makes a good cup of coffee 🤮

I've loved both of our Ninja coffee makers, various models. I keep one at work, and the other at home for when we have company. We upgraded to a fancy DeLongi Magnifica Evo - it does espresso and single cups plus a bunch of other stuff. Most amazing at home cup of coffee and espresso ever. So smooth. It's super easy to use too; not the traditional espresso machine, which I can't be bothered with, nor do I like a million buttons. I'm sure that's breaking a law to some coffee snobs, but this truly makes a great cup of both.

My only complaint is not having an option to make a pot of coffee when we have company. Both my in laws and parents love when we make them cups from the DeLongi, but really prefer the traditional pot of coffee they can pour multiple cups from all morning. I break that Ninja out whenever either of them visit.
