Concerned about the government overstepping its bounds and asserting increasing control over aspects of life it has no business interfering with? You should be. And in many parts of the world, governments are providing daily object lessons in what happens when citizens allow self-serving, power-mad officials to arrogate too much power to themselves and overstep all rational restraints. In Nigeria on Wednesday, for example, a state government destroyed nearly four million bottles of beer. Four million bottles of beer, gone, sacrificed to fanaticism and the brutal arrogation of power by unfeeling elites.
AFP reported Thursday that the Islamic religious police in the northern state of Kano destroyed the beer because “sale and consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the predominantly Muslim region.” That’s because the sale and consumption of alcohol are also prohibited in Islamic law. The Qur’an says: “O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, stone altars, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.” (5:90)

So what we have in Nigeria’s Kano state is a case in which the local government is acting against the will of one community in order to engage in some virtue-signaling and gain some points with another community. If that sounds familiar, that’s only because it is. The COVID-19 mandates in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere are increasingly unpopular. In some countries, authorities are responding to this by removing them. In the United States, however, Old Joe Biden and his handlers seem intent on doubling down and continuing to do all they can to make life miserable for ordinary Americans, no matter how unnecessary their actions may be. They are our domestic version of Kano’s Sharia police, crushing beer bottles with a bulldozer when many of their own people would like to indulge in the innocent pleasure of a tall cold one.
Authoritarian governments are a constant of world history, which can be read as the long struggle for freedom and human rights against those who are desperate to cling to their power as long as possible. But ultimately, their overreach becomes so egregious and nettlesome that nothing can keep them in power, no matter what they do. We will see if America has reached that point in Nov. 2022.

In 2016, Waseem Azeem secretly gave his sister, Qandeel Baloch, (born Fauzia Azeem) then 26, a sedative and then strangled her, as he later admitted. Azeem was sentenced to life in prison in 2019, but on Monday a court ruled he could be released after his parents granted him forgiveness, saying that because his parents forgave him for murdering his sister, Islamic law ruled he must be released.
Sardar Mehboob, Azeem’s attorney told The Washington Post, “The appeal court has acquitted the accused in the case on the grounds of a family settlement and lack of evidence….There is nothing left in the case. The convict will be released soon from the prison.”
The Muslim murderer of a Coptic man in Egypt said he was moved to the act, not because he personally knew the Christian, but because he was inflamed with zeal, especially after reading the Koran, and because he is “loyal to Allah.”

Police were able to pull him over when he failed to stop at a stop sign and arrested him when they discovered that he was driving without a license. Police found a loaded AK-47 inside his vehicle with a serial number that had allegedly been filed off, which is a felony.
“Shocked to learn that an assassin with a loaded AK47 came my home in Brooklyn,” Alinejad added. “Last year, the Islamic Republic, tried to kidnap me, now they want to kill me. I’m grateful to federal agents but the Administration must do more to protect US citizens.”

Unfortunately for al-Tayeb, however, a number of “problematic” activities by Muslims trace straight back to certain Islamic teachings and legacy. This includes attacking and or killing apostates (born Muslims who wish to leave Islam) as well as “blasphemers” (anyone who speaks critically of Islam); the treatment of women as chattel, the permissibility of polygamy (up to four wives), and child marriage; systemic discrimination against all things non-Muslim (e.g. religious minorities, churches, etc.); and, of course, jihad — armed warfare against non-Muslims in order to bring the entire world under Islamic rule.
There is no escaping it: the above activities, which directly oppose the modern world’s values, are promoted in Islamic texts and even in modern-day Islamic literature. They have been on active display throughout the Muslim world’s past and present.
Worst of all, at least in the context of this article, is that, of all people, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb knows this to be true. After all, the institution he heads, Al Azhar University in Egypt, teaches all of these things in its curriculum.
As Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Nasr, a scholar of Islamic law and graduate of Al Azhar, once said after being asked on live television why his alma mater refuses to denounce the Islamic State as un-Islamic:
As discussed in this article, many other Al Azhar insiders have accused the Islamic university of the same things.
At any rate, from here one can better understand another assertion made by al-Tayeb during his recent condemnation of “Islamophobia.” He said:
Of course, they don’t. That’s because, whereas people have little reason to fear Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or Hinduism, they do, for the reasons explained above, have reason to fear Islam.
This is precisely why “Islamophobia” is a thing, whereas “Christianity-phobia, Judaism-phobia, Buddhism-phobia or Hinduism-phobia” are not.

She seems to be confused.. granted she lives in Brooklyn, so she's all around screwed, but the government has no responsibility to protect her, and since she lives in Brooklyn her local government has denied her right to protect herself, so protection? One of the worst atrocities committed by Azerbaijan against Armenia during the former’s raid last week concerns the rape, savage mutilation, and slaughter of a woman who served in the Armenian forces.
In the words of Army Chief of Staff Edward Asryan, speaking last Friday at Jermuk, one of the sites heavily shelled by Azerbaijan:
A video of these atrocities, which was emailed to me and was apparently made by the Azeri soldiers themselves, shows piles of mutilated and decapitated Armenian soldiers, including the woman in question. After all, Islamic scriptures are full of calls to terrorize, mutilate, and massacre infidels (non-Muslims). After declaring “I will cast terror into the hearts of infidels,” Allah calls on Muslims to “strike off their heads and strike off their every fingertip” (Koran 8:12). Similarly, “It is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre in the land” (Koran 8:67). Other penalties for infidels who “spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides…” (Koran 5:33).
It is also worth noting that the ancestors of modern-day Turkey and Azerbaijan — especially the Ottomans, whom they venerate and seek to emulate — heavily relied on such psychological warfare tactics in the context of their prophet Muhammad’s well-known boast: “I have been made victorious with terror” — which included atrocities just like this.

In this time of rising antisemitism in the nation and around the world, one would think that this would be a major story, and the basis for media investigations of the phenomenon of antisemitism and how it can be stopped. One would think wrong. It has been over three weeks since the video of Kamel appeared, and the response of the local media has been complete and unbroken silence and indifference.

In light of that, it’s clear that Kamel didn’t say anything that many, if not most, other imams wouldn’t say. He was just a bit less circumspect about it than most have been up to now in the U.S. He also went on to make it clear that he wasn’t talking about violence against Jews only in the context of the end times, either.
“All living creatures,” Kamel continued, “are opposed to this bigoted and arrogant breed of people who occupied Muslim lands and humiliated our brothers in Palestine. We pray for Allah to humiliate them in this world, and the Hereafter, to kindle zeal in the hearts of the Muslims to support their religion, and to humiliate those [Jews] soon. Amen, oh Allah.” The idea that unbelievers will suffer in this world as well as in the next is likewise a core Islamic concept (cf. Qur’an 39:26).
Consequently, Kamel declares that “those Jews will be annihilated in that war, and they will never rise again.” He reminds his congregation that Muhammad told his followers during a battle to shoot arrows at the enemy when that enemy got close enough, and adds: “This hadith [report] encourages shooting, using any available means – be it using arrows, like in ancient times, or bullets, rockets, grenades, like in modern times, or any other means, because shooting is one of the elements of force that Allah ordered. [Allah] said: ‘Prepare for them whatever force and steeds of war you can.’” Kamel thus issued a clear warning, and the local authorities and media should be paying attention.

I've known a number of Muslims, and perhaps only one had zero animosity towards Jews - except possibly black muslims, because from my meager observation, their religion is slightly different from the one practiced elsewhere. Most when asked tend to hedge around it because they don't want to discuss something they know is part of their religion but somewhere in their gut they either believe it, or believe it to be wrong.
Having BEEN part of a religion that loathes to admit error, I can see their dilemma.
The ONE I know that doesn't - he's kind of odd. He's nominally Muslim and is married to one of my nieces. He sort of practices basic Muslim things, but I am pretty sure he breaks a lot of them. He's the odd one, because most Muslms I know do not believe in "nominally Muslim". You either participate in salat - or you're not Muslim.
Personally - it's my general belief that if you have to make a case for the virtue of your religion, it's pointless, as its virtue should be plainly obvious.
Having BEEN part of a religion that loathes to admit error, I can see their dilemma.
