Good god this weekend I got suckered into getting my other half Hermit Crabs....He failed to mention how his other one died then he said all his legs fell off.... the I read on the internet that happens when they are stressed then I look over and my 19 year old boyfriend is sitting on the carpet with the darn thing hanging it upside down trying to get it to fall out... I was like no wonder your other one was stressed Now he has 2 both have a painted shell with a Canadian flag and he says he needs like 10 he's trying make a hockey team.... I DON'T THINK SO

My daughter has 6 hermit crabs that she's had for over three years now. She set up a complete hermit crab habitat in a 10 gallon glass fish tank, with sand, shelter, water holes, humidity control, a under tank heater, she looked up the foods that are good for them and gives them a bath every Saturday (good for their gills). She does great with them. Of course, I read on the internet that these things can live over 25 years Guess they'll be my problem when she goes to college!!

Hermit Crabs are boring though it's like fish they do nothing but walk around and eat and thats about it. He wanted the things. i dont like to mess with them I worked at PetSmart some years back and we had a monster of a hermit crab there his arm of the claw was the size of a AA battery he got a hold of my hand and snapped a nerve in the palm of my hand. That was enough for me never messed with them again. I pick it up once it comes out the shell I put it back in the tank . I look at my boyfriend and say okay I'm good thats enough

I thought about putting in a jumglegym for them But then again what are they suppose to do with that? One of them kinda attacked the other one and broke off some of his legs or something or other and my other half decieded to scold him I was no more good! He's so cute when he wants to be

How do you scold a hermit crab? Can their behavior really be modified?

Yes my parents are proud of me! I run a buisness and keep up and house at a young age. I think I do rather well for myself

He told the one hermit crab he beter be nice to his roommate. I was like oh yea like thats gonna work what are you gonna do take away the basking pool
