Something just doesn't sound right. Why would the gentleman grab his bag and run if he had nothing to hide? Why did security consider the woman who ran an accomplice?

It's not everyday a guy with a Halloween Costume grabs his back pack from security and haul's azz....

It took police in the neighborhood of 40 minutes to hunt this guy down.

Personally I have a conspiracy theroy that makes more sense than this crazy BS.

This guys comes in with a real gun and a toy.... Security screeners see it... He grabs his bag, takes off, hides the gun for future use and when he's ready shows up with the "it's only a toy story." :bubble:

He didn't run. He put the bag on the xray machine and his friend started shooting the breeze with the security guard. Then they walked away. After they were out of sight the guard looked up at the screen, which he sould've been doing instead of running his mouth. By then the staffers were out of sight.

Give credit where credit is due. They said the culprits (two of them) were women.

Nothing, everyone is saying the "guy" did this, the "guy" did that. It was a young woman, that's all.

I understand what your saying. It's like a joke gone bad.

The original report said they were looking for a 5'3" male. I heard that the congressman's office refuse to identify the staffers to the press. I didn't hear them say anything about the staffers being female.

But if that's right then the security guard is the real idiot here. Not only didn't he look at the screen, like he should have, he couldn't even remember the gender of the "culprits." I hope all the security guards/police protecting our government aren't as clueless.

I caught a blurb on the news this morning. Illinois Congressman Shimkus said that the two young ladies were putting together costumes for a party and had brought in the toy. Also mentioned was that they weren't going to be pressing charges.

I agree about the lack of ability of the security folk. You would think that after the guy did the shootings on the hill a year or so ago that they would have been a little more careful in the process.

The Times had the following on it. http://www.washtimes.com/metro/20031030-094631-2843r.htm
