Looking at FB memories that popped up yesterday, in 2018 I saw my first Osprey in Port Tobacco on March 4th, and the first one on March 4th, 2019 in Upper Marlboro.

1st one I saw was a few years ago, hovering off the side of the top of the TJ bridge when Anita and I were coming back from New England that summer.

I saw that too - last week.

That was last yepar on March 13.....

Too early now.....

Was just told they are back in Dahlgren.
I also follow the Peregrine Falcons in Baltimore. Peeked in at their webcam a few minutes ago and see that they have one egg laid so far.

I heard one yesterday as I was working on my boat. They're moving farther and farther inland as the best spots on the water are being taken. Ah, the sounds of spring.

When growing up in NY, I always knew spring was just around the corner when I heard the redwing blackbirds singing in the marshes.
