Things you would ban because they "look ridiculous"

Leaving smow on top of your vehicle...:cds:

Carrying all that heavy snow on your car roof, just burns up more gas....and only requires a couple of minutes to brush-off.

On snow-free days here, I've seen car roofs piled high with snow, and state tags suggesting they just arrived from Ohio or western PA.....How LAZY of them to leave it on there.

I have been refraining from making this comment, but I just can't any longer. :cds:

I think long dresses and/or skirts look silly and out of place unless you are at a formal event OR you are wearing a Muumuu in Hawaii.

I see women wearing them everywere. Not just overweight women, either.

Hate it, and I think it looks mostly ridiculous.

Do you mean maxi dresses? Most of them are pretty casual and lots of young women wear them.

I know a lot of them are pretty casual AND a lot of young women wear them. I just happen to think they look ridiculous in most settings. And when I am Queen of the world, they will be banned.

Many young women with nice bodies can pull it off; especially tall ones. But a lot of the women I see wearing them make me want to scratch my eyeballs out with a dull knife and fork. Most of those dresses don't hide anything and there is a lot I really don't want to see.
I am sure they are comfortable but you won't see this short and heavy person wearing anything like that in public!

Oh, I can understand that they are probably very comfortable. And, you are right - most of the dresses don't hide anything, and *most of the young women with nice bodies that I have seen wearing these *often* will wear them without the proper undergarments (foundation undergarments, notwithstanding) and they are either see-thru or clingy and therefore, don't look right to me.

I have long casual skirts that I love love love but I'm too short to look good in them. Like those peasant skirts that are meant for summer, those look terrible, and I have a long denim skirt that I wear with boots sometimes that looks good. My "clothing as art" piece is a long purple skirt with different fabrics and embroidery techniques on it. I love it like it was my dog and would never EVER part with it, but I don't wear it because it doesn't look good on me.

I envy tall slim girls who can pull off that look. :yay:

Find a picture of what you're talking about and show me.

What the hell is up with the 'maxi' pajama pants that's starting to be the trend? Same material as the maxi dresses but fixed waistband and then blam-o flowy pajama pants. R U serious?
