We must question, what this teacher did to turn innocent children into monsters.

somehow I knew someone would take it that way. we're talking about 3rd graders here. maybe the teacher took away recess for a day because they were misbehaving. who knows. I find it scary that your immediate thought is "well it must be the teacher's fault"

The children, ages 8 to 10, were apparently mad at the teacher because she had scolded one of them for standing on a chair, Tanner said.

from the article. yup, sounds like an evil teacher that clearly incited violence.

10 in 3rd Grade? Sounds like a couple of "repeat offenders" are in that class. :coffee:

I doubt the teacher did anything worth provoking them...
The purported target is a veteran educator who teaches third-grade students with learning disabilities, including attention deficit disorder, delayed development and hyperactivity,
These types of kids often have impulse control issues. They get an idea, what would be a passing thought to most kids, about getting rid of the teacher and next thing you know, they start plotting.

The teacher?! What about the parents?!! Or obvious lack therof? Omg... if I'd done something like this, I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week. My mom would've busted my @ss 10 ways from Sunday.

Hmmm.

How about the teamwork these kids had going on?

Alpha team- Cover the windows and lock the door
Bravo- Do what you have to do.
Charlie- Clean up
Delta- Secure the egress routes and the rally point.

This is the scariest part to me. Christ, I bet that singly one of them couldn't their room but they can plan and coordinate something like this.:yikes:

Thrid graders arent supposed to know how to do these things or even think of this. They can barely tie their shoes. What kind of parents do these kids have???? What kind of lives are these children living????

A whole room full of children aged 8 thru 10 with learning disabilities including A.D.D., A.D.H.D. & more with one teacher - My first thoughts are: How many of those kids are in the right kind of program for their needs? How many need medication and are not taking it properly or not getting it at all? How many don't need it and are getting it anyway? The precision with which they plotted the attack and cleanup was incredible as kom526 pointed out and all the teacher did was correct someone for standing on a chair. This is pretty heavy "revenge" talk for a scolding! What is going on with today's children?

I am skeptical .... the state first response to their cookie cutter education system is to label the child, especially White Blond Haired Blue Eyes kids as ADD ADHD and demand the be medicated ...... I am not saying some kids have Issues but the System Demands all to often Medication over anything else ...

When I get the Link I canot find right now I'll POST IT

Yes, there is a tendency to overlabel and overmedicate - it has been in the news quite a bit lately. That's why I said some that are on medication that should not be. My nephew is a child that had to have the meds. Without them he would absolutely destroy a room in less than five minutes. He literally has no self control & is that hyper without the medications. With them he was able to graduate and get a job. No two children are the same.
