in 3rd grade, I played jump rope & hop scotch. Played with my Barbie dolls and was well behaved in school, because if I didn't behave, I got my ass busted. IMHO that's what's wrong with the kids today. We need to enforce the rules more often! Kid crosses the line.......bust his butt!

Yes, there is a tendency to overlabel and overmedicate - it has been in the news quite a bit lately. That's why I said some that are on medication that should not be. My nephew is a child that had to have the meds. Without them he would absolutely destroy a room in less than five minutes. He literally has no self control & is that hyper without the medications. With them he was able to graduate and get a job. No two children are the same.

Unfortunately a lot has to do with Ignorant / Uninformed Parents using the Disney Babysitter from a very young age and parking the kid in front of the TV .... there was a study publicized in the last several yrs that children watching, pretty much any TV for more than a couple min. b4 the age of 3 it rewires there brain while it is developing in those 1st 3 yrs .... so they end up with very shot attention spans ..... and ADD ADHD like .........
