"This card cannot be used"

But wait, there's more...
I just went to the Kodak-Lexar SD card site, and it says that some cameras are not able to run 1 or 2 gb cards. I bet that is the problem. This camera was bought about 5 years ago, and I recall seeing a chart in the owners manual that shows how many pictures you can get on different size cards using different picture sizes, and it only went up to a 512K card.

Guess I will be going out to buy a new camera today.

Why don't you just download the pictures you have on the camera now and open up some free space?

I needed a new SD card. I only have a 16 mb card b/c I gave DQ my 64 mb card. Thus the reason I bought a new 1gb card ... It's time for a new camera anyway. I can craigslist this one. :yay:

I'm eyeing the Kodak EasyShare 12.1mp. Costco has it for $170 ($30 less than BestBuy). It also has pretty good reviews that I can see. :yay:

And if I buy it from Costco, it comes with a free 2 gb SD card. :yay: I can keep the 1 gb for my digital picture frame at work.

I bought a new 1 gb SD card for my digitial camera. The car is made by Kodak; camera is a Toshiba. I put the card in, and the aforementioned message flashes up on my camera screen.

The card instructions say if it doesn't work to reformat it in the device. How the heck do I do that?

See in the specs where it says up to 512mb cards only?

Or it says that in the online specs you posted earlier - saves interpreting the chart. :yay:
