Imagine if your doctor or mechanic is working on something - and it's WORSE. And he gives you these kinds of excuses. You know what you'd do? You'd FIRE him.

Actually that mindset is prevalent in those and many other positions too.

Noticed it with a family members former doctor some years back.

Fortunately I don't have that issue with my GP.

Mechanic: "Well we replaced the sensor that the scanner said to replace. Thats a new problem, even though the symptom is exactly the same."

And my first reaction is "gimme the keys, we won't be coming back".
Because even though it can sometimes be difficult - you eventually CAN find a reliable mechanic who - if he is unable to fix something - can possibly REFER you to someone who can.

Ditto, years ago, when my son's doctor insisted on him regularly visiting a psychiatrist before she would prescribe drugs to handle his behavior, even though it is a condition he was born with, and NO AMOUNT OF COUNSELING has ever been known to have any effect. It's like prescribing psychiatry for Down's Syndrome. We went to a different doctor. Sorry, lady, but when it comes to my son, I *AM* the world's foremost authority.

IIRC Clinton didn't have much choice with Congress having the majority
Actually, when Bill was elected, he had the first "trifecta" - White House, House, Senate - in a dozen years. 57 member majority in the Senate - and 258 majority in the House. As close to a supermajority in each chamber that I can ever recall, for the first two years.

All that changed in the next Congress - for the first time in 40 some years, the House went Republican when the Dems lost over 50 seats, and they lost 11 seats in the Senate. After that, you are right - nothing. But he HAD total power for two years - and blew it.

They all do it ... Obama, then Biden .... and bitch Republicans won't work with us
Nancy made it all too clear, under Bush - "bipartisan" means, agree with us, and compromise means capitulation.
I actually laughed out loud when she claimed they wanted a supermajority so they could pump out all kinds of "bipartisan" legislation - hence, making it abundantly clear she has no idea what the phrase means.

In a compromise - a concept that at least in this nation goes back to its founding - is that neither side gets what they want, but they are sufficiently satisfied with what they DO get. Frankly, I couldn't figure out why Chuck and Nancy just refused to give Trump his wall no matter how many dream offers he gave and how little he asked. It really seemed that they refused simply because it would give him - a "win". They simply COULD NOT COMPROMISE, except in their mind, compromise was HIM giving them everything they wanted.

Typical Democrat, blaming everyone else for problems you caused all by yourselves.

That is the Republican play book.

Illegals, Gays, trans people, black people , people with college degrees are all causing every problem in the country.

If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

Love that you quote the most Racist President in American History. Says a lot of your foundational view on politics.

Your analysis on when the country shifted too far left is eight years late, the shift occurred January 20, 2009.
Yes and what has happened since then? Barack saw to it that the conservatives took over the U.S. Supreme court, how does that make you feel?

A lot about this video seems sus, only 5 participants?

It makes the point, which I’ve agreed with, the pendulum swung way too far left in response to Trump, it’s now normalizing.

Meanwhile the GOP has a Governor candidate running for election in NC wishing Women couldn’t vote. I’m pretty sure that would be a popular opinion in this forum, maybe even by women who post here, but it’s not popular among most folks.

Run these candidates, lose elections, say they were stolen. MAGA/GOP 101

I wish that women couldn't vote, especially since they vote overwhelmingly for the leftists.

Unless they've served in the military and/or are land owners. And if you guessed that I fall into both those categories, give yourself a head pat.
