What a difference a week makes.... I went back to that new church and I was welcomed and encouraged.

This week... I really got a work out looking up passages.... I'm so glad I had a new friend helping me through it all....I have so much to learn and I am so happy that those around me in this new church are so willing to teach me.

I really wish they would teach me online so I could study with them every day!

Let me tell you how I choose a church now. I hope this isn't too boring for some.... but hey... you asked...

Mark 9:38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”

39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.

I've been to a few weird churches. One burned my Bible... another was in a bar.... and one sent out three guys who called themselves [I kid you not] Shadrack, Messack and Abendigo..... So it's kind of important that the members of the church love the Old Testament and the New Testament....

Today I was shown a verse in John that I hadn't really considered before. It was an answer to a question I had asked. It was in context.... and it made perfect sense.

That's the church I went to today.....

What do you think of John 6:53?
It's a "hard" saying. Those who would not believe John "6:66". Interesting...

I haven't made it to John yet.... let me finish with Luke first.... :killingme

John was the best earthly friend that Jesus had. That's going to be one heck of a book.

Luke is more of a gossip then Matthew and Mark were. I guess being a doctor in those days you had to have the gift of gab.

John 6:53 seems like it would be really hard to keep in context. The Last Supper should be taken as a whole. It's kind of rude to interrupt such a good memory of your best friend. He's already been through the transfiguration at this time. Right?
