this was a good ending to Indian Summer.

I always thought that to be considered an Indian Summer the warm period had to follow a hard frost and be before a snowfall.

Today was an unbelievably gorgeous day — warm enough that kids ran around in shorts and t-shirts, but with nice breeze and just a hint of cold to come. Plus incredible foliage still on the trees and on the ground — incredible! After a Saturday like this, let the rains and cold come — this was a good ending to Indian Summer.

Back home, you can't have Indian Summer until you've had a pretty good frost. There was a morning here where there was a skim of frost on the windshield, but nothing on the ground.

Yesterday was perfect weather for the Trump parade! Today, I am happy to be inside with the chill and dampness and rain expected all day.
