BREAKING NEWS FROM "GREG" Calvert Cantorry!!!!! The Calvert model is showing .23 inch of accumulating winterfall, and I can see my neighbors roof supporting the accumulation. I'm anticipating the upsweep of the Ionicsphere and the Stratovarius west-to-east winds to dissipate within the next 2-46 hours.

Stay tuned.
hah! we got you beat, buddy...there is at least 0.375" accumulation here on our independent desert island.

Just sneakin' around....
St. Mary's under snow emergency until further notice.
Not sure why, all reports are still calling for less than an inch total.

Ok, Special Weather Statement just upped it to 2 inches. Still not worthy of a snow "emergency".

Saw that.

I learned to drive in feet of snow, and emergencies were only called when the emergency vehicles were getting stranded. I keep forgetting that 1 inch of snow here can immobilize everything.
True. I'm secure in my driving. Not anyone else's. I teleworked today. I almost felt bad for not going in, but relieved when sh!t got real this afternoon.

Just broom swept the steps and sidewalks in Leonardtown... then used a leaf blower to clean the car. If there ever was a night to leave your wipers lifted... tonight is the night! All non-removed snow will be a block of ice by morning!

I made the right call not going to Nawlens – all six pieces of our snow removal equipment went out tonight. We had 6 to 8 inches of snow in Scotland. We did not finish clearing the county roads south of Mattapany Rd until about midnight to 1 AM and then moved right to NESEA and had all parking lots cleared by 4 AM. We are currently working on the airstrip at NESEA to get it cleared – probably going to take us until 8 AM this morning to finish up. So yeah, you guys up north got nothing compared to what we got. It was a snow emergency down here! Roads are going to be a bit slick in places and the parking lots are going to be icy down here at NESEA so be careful.

Base punted. Just sent advisorys that it was going to be slick and to allow more room.

Funny, here just north of St Marys City, it was only three inches.

Lusby got maybe 2 inches. Wasn't too bad clearing off the cars this morning. CRE roads were pretty much clear but definitely better once you get onto Little Cove Point Rd and Rt4. No issues there.
