I did not know that about your road. I even commented not that long ago that it looks so much flatter and even than his road. That whole area in that section on the right just after St. Mary's City is so pretty. We take that loop from Snow Hill that comes out the other end sometimes just for a drive. Prettiest area in Southern Maryland in my opinion.

My road is much flatter. Its our properties that have the slopes. If you look at in on the topographic map, it rides the higher points between two stream valleys. The stream his road straddles is parallel to 5 so his road needs to go down in the valley. This maps shows it. On this map, Ivy Hill is just south of the Route Five marker.

And we love Snow Hill as well. Too many driveways and sandy washouts across it to enjoy it the way a speed junkie should, but still, on my motorcycle or in her convertible, its a fun road.
