Congratulations!!! I love the cake idea.

I am very glad that I had my boy first, he is the best big brother to his twin sisters anyone could ask for.

As Thing1 said when I asked if he wanted to go visit a friend of mine's newly born grandchild at the hospital - "Naw, they all pretty much do the same things until they're older anyway". :killingme

At her sonogram she asked the Tech. to write the sex of the baby on a piece of paper and slip it in the envelope. She took that envelope to the baker who made the cake.

Last I spoke to her she was going to slice the cake w/ her hubby and family to find out what the sex was.

Very cute idea :yay:

I've been telling her for weeks it was going to be a boy though

That's the cutest idea ever. My issue is I'd never be able to wait for the rest of the family to get there, I'd be slicing into that cake on the way home from the bakery! :killingme

 My parents picked up the cake for us and it was actually a surprise for the hubby. He knew we were doing the cake thing, he just thought it was happening next weekend but it ended up happening a week early, for his birthday weekend (it was Friday and we did a family birthday breakfast Sunday). I knew they wouldn't cut the cake, for fear they wouldn't see our child :lmao: j/k....we all wanted to be surprised so it was worth the wait
