Please check yourself and the dogs, the ticks are coming out with the warming weather. Just found one climbing on the dog.

Already found several on the dog, and many on the cat that goes outside. Anyone know when fleas start? I want to be prepared.

It was never cold enough last winter to make them dormant and they've been rampant all throughout it. I normally don't start my animals on FrontLine until mid to late March, but I've had to put it on them year 'round this year. :ohwell:

Thats what I did about 2 weeks ago, just to be on the safe side. BF brought on in the house this evening.

My cat did that about a week or so ago and I found one crawling up my leg. I guess it didn't like his treated self and found me to be a better potential host. :ohwell:

Ticks have been out all winter. Found some ( I mean they found me) when clearing trails in Janurary, they were the big ones, not the little deer ticks that give you Lyme. When the little ones come out I don't walk in the woods until they are frozen.

Are they really common here? I'm going to have to change my name from Ladybug to Tickgirl. I found one on me (attached) the other day and had a little freak out. I have been camping, hiking, fishing, etc. my whole life and have never had that happen. Am I just going to have to get used to it here? I checked the dogs and they are fine, although they don't spend much time outside anymore.
