Why don't you just shave your schnauzer again so they're easily visible. :shrug:

I keep the schauzer trimmed tight for the most part, but I keep the fur around the legs fluffy because it's cuter that way. :shrug:

I knew a lady that kept her Schnauzer shaved all the time. I don't think it was to prevent ticks though
