Tide Pods...

Yeah - I have heard the boys complain about softner on towels. I can only use softner on sheets - nobody else (well besides me) cares for it on anything other than sheets.

I find most detergents dont leave the clothes smelling fresh w/ out it. Well except Gain. I love me some Gain.

Thanx for the suggestion. I have 2 bottles of Tide non-HE that I can't use anymore and want to get rid of.

GW- You can still use that tide! Just use less (about 1/2) of what you would have normally used.

Waste not want not..................

I love me some Gain also. And I love that Febreze has the Gain sent in their air freshener  Along with my Gain, on some of my loads I also use the Purex Crystals. Just throw them in the washer before it starts. Smells great!

Tide makes me itch. I get the All Free and Clear - reasonably priced, HE safe, septic system safe, never leaves residue, cleans well and doesn't have a bunch of chemicals to mask the actual smell of the clothes. If you want a scent in your clothing I recommend a fabric softner.
I have always loved All Free and Clear as well. I used to like scented stuff, but now I prefer my laundry to not smell like anything at all (besides clean ). I do like the idea of the Tide pods being used by kids, like Dakota mentioned. We buy the ginormous bottles of All from BJ's and keep them in the cabinet above the washing machine so it's difficult for the young'n to use. He has to bring over a stool and even then he's not quite tall enough to reach the little button because the washing machine sticks out too far.

I stopped using fabric softener a few years ago after it ruined one too many shirts (even when using the downy ball). Now we just use dryer sheets, which I pretty much hate. I'm thinking about tracking down some of those dryer balls with the little nubs on them.

Gain rocks and so does Downy (original scent) softener. I do a load of towels once a week...no softener. Everything else gets Gained and Downied.

Febreze has a candle with Gain now... there have been several Sundays with coupons in the paper. I love 'em. I have one lit now and my house smells wonderful.

The worst thing is when someone uses softner for our towels. It makes them lose their absorbancy. It is horrible.

So we've been using those Pod things for a few days now and they are just ok. I dont think I would buy them.

I use the All "Free and Clear" pods . I have a top load washer so this may make the difference. I use the bounce dryer bar as well. I love it.
