I just returned from a most magnificent lunch at the Tides. The food was delicious, the dining room fabulously decorated, and best of all was the company - thoroughly and positively wonderful. :huggy:

Have you tried it yet? I'm excited about it, but it worries me for Hot Noodle, I'm ADDICTED to the chicken Pho and I'm not sure how competitive they will be. The woman who does my mom's hair is from Thailand and she knows the people opening it. She tells mom it will be VERY authentic.

anything independent and professionally executed is better than any fast food chain and not just for the sake of cheap

Haven't tried either place, but I intend to. I think with the diversity in Thai cooking, and the "Hot Noodle" having a niche, they can both thrive.

I wish I could remember the name, but we stumbled across a new Thai place last week. It's on 301, north between Waldorf and White Plains. It was EXCELLENT. Really cute inside, great menu selection, good, quick service. Two thumbs up!

You must be talking about Suporn's. New to you maybe, but it's been there for years. I haven't been there in awhile, but I agree it is excellent. :yay:
