Pretty sure that's the Air Force.
They have the best O clubs and golf courses...

But I hafta admit, being the "Admiral's grandson" and having free reign to run around Governers Island back in the day was a true delight. Phillipino stewards - lots of them - making sure I was constantly amused....

Did they get out the glass coffee table or the stack of quarters?

Co-worker is supposed to come in at 8:30am. She rolls in closer to 10am. If the boss says something, she always has an excuse at the ready. Her kids, her car, etc.

What has been done and what is being done to our military is abhorrent.
Women in combat roles, transgenders, appointment by gender or race instead of merit.

One day we will need a military for the job they actually exist for and it will not be ready or competent to get that job done.

Hopefully your boss is documenting everything.
Sadly he is not. She was a sympathy hire and tells all sorts of lies to continue the sympathy. Every week, there is supposed new trauma in her life that makes her unable to come to work, do anything while at work, have to leave for hours on end during the workday, etc.

She was a custodian where I work. She told HR that her husband left her while pregnant with Baby #3 and she can't support herself and kids on current salary. HR put her in here with a hefty pay raise. Problem is she can barely speak English, doesn't really know her numbers or the alphabet, is too busy talking on personal calls to actually do any work which is holding up progress in the office, etc. Yesterday, I heard the boss telling someone that she will be getting an extra $500 in her paycheck for helping with some big project. However, she did nothing to help. Another person did everything. This lady was "just around" while it was going on so she gets in on the money too.

Meanwhile, I am simultaneously processing crime evidence from 3 separate Homicides that happened within less than a week of each other and don't get any acknowledgement because as he says, "that's my job to do that." Whenever someone outside of the office tells him that I'm doing a great job and deserve some praise, he tells them, "no she's doesn't."

I had a Chief that said you don't get ribbons for doing your job.

One thing I have learned in my 30+ years in the workforce that is demonstrably TRUE is:

Doing exceptional work only gets you MORE work!

Once you are recognized as the "go to" person for projects and work product, you then get more tasking because management knows it will be completed timely and correctly.

Good lord! I forgot the most important part to the story!! She was correct that her husband left her because of Baby #3 but there was a valid reason. The baby was his brother's!!

The reward for a task well done is another task.

GenZers sounds like what was once a bug with other groups is now a feature with these folks.

Could’ve been worse… Could’ve been her brothers.

Forgot to add...
Meanwhile, those that are just 'towing the line' and aren't performers get to keep their jobs with little to no work product being delivered. Usually because getting them 'removed' requires work from supervisors and that is HARDZ.

I wish she did. She would probably lay into her and tell her off. Everyone walks around with kid gloves around her currently. I vent to my work bestie and we commiserate together.
