To have a book or two you're trying to enjoy but they simply sux more azz than a bicycle seat and you find yourself reading cereal boxes to avoid picking them up?
I have read books that I didn't care for, but I always finish them. It may not be that I find them boring, sometimes I get upset or even offended by some things.
One good example, "Where the Red Fern Grows" had me crying so hard I was taken out of class.

How about a reading recomendation thread?

LOL, we must be on the same wavelength. I just finished Wizard's First Rule, and now am just about through The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.....I read the chronicles years ago, but decided to re-read them when I heard about the movie.
