It's too soon for it to be changed in public record... one source says it has already changed hands and the other says the deed itself will be delivered on the 26th to the county administrator when he returns from vacation.

Sounds like maybe phone call or two are in order.

I knew I saw someone out there with a sign on opening day.

I went shopping... Would rather of had a Safeway.. I feel this way. Gott screw the people over in this county. That we know. But why take it out on the business there. It is not their fault that Gott is such a prick. You have got to protest places like Gott oil and his other places of business that he and his family owns... Make it hard for him to survive in this county... If the people of Calvert really want to do something you get him in his pocket... By protesting the stores will not do that... It is not effecting his pocket. He got what he wanted... Hope I am making sense??

The bleach smell is to keep customers from thinking it's just another dirty Food Lion.

I like the self checkouts except I'm a lousy grocery bagger.

Perfect sense.... I am boycotting all Gott properties... that means all Fastops, and all Gott Oil products.... I wanted a Safeway too....

They are digging a big hole... I asked if it was for a new building but Chris Campany [County] says that it is a stormwater retention area.... problem is... it's where the green space is supposed to be....

I said I was boycotting until the deed changed hands but I am wondering if I should keep it up until we get the park we were promissed....

Thanks for noticing I was there.... I got a lot of great response....

Gotta say... it's really hard to just go get a loaf of bread when you're boycotting the Food Lions and Fastops.... :coffee:

Keep boycotting until you get what you deserve.
If you were promised a park, then make sure that park is built.

if you need a company to build the park,, call me.

(it that call me thing is considered advertising in anyway, someone go ahead and remove this post, it was not intended as such)

Im thinking more of a paved parking area, with a paver circle in the middle with a fountain in it. then a short walk to a couple ball fields.
beyond the ball fields have some nice wide walking trails that takes you through the woods with the name tags for the trees and native plants that you see there. A few benches for sitting along the way, and maybe a nice big gazeebo type structure at the end where you could maybe sit and eat lunch or just look out on the wonders of nature.

Of course some company would have to be contracted to maintain the park area....

hmmmm I wonder who would be willing to do that?

Now you're talking! A great place for children to play.... can you just imagine mom's and toddlers.... actual adults to talk to during the day... then you pick up a loaf of bread before heading home.... sounds so cool to me.... a place where a kid can sit under a tree and read a book safely....

We've already got all that down here with the exception of the fountain. The new swimming pool has all sorts of accessories, maybe there is a fountain there.

That park is over at Cove Point... Yes it's close, but that does not alter the fact that we were promissed a park in both of those shopping centers at Rousby Hall and HG Truman. Neither a private party nor a government entity should be allowed to call a meeting at a public school, to present one idea and build something totally different.

Gott and Jacklitch made some sort of deal. That was agreed testimony in the ethics report. It doesn't matter to me if money or favors changed hands. At this point the result is obvious. Look at the Master Plan drawings and compair it to what is built on the ground. We the people that will support or boycott this shopping center got rooked, robbed, overlooked, and under-estimated.

Jacklitch is now pushing this Reality Check Plus planning all over the place. If we let him get away with the bait & switch he pulled in Lusby, I believe he would be building a city all over Southern Maryland!

I say Gott should be required to give up the park now. The deed was supposed to be transferred in 2005. He should also give up part of the 2nd phase building permits. Let him go after Jacklitch for the money he will loose.... Jacklich's has it... There should be consequences for this action.
