Thank you so much for your assistance. I have been researching all day yesterday how to self rescue. There is a method I will practice in my neighbor's pool that allows me to flip the kayak on my own. I am also getting some outriggers for stabilization.

His boat is docked at Calvert Marina Charter boat dock on Dowell Road in Solomon's Island. He is the best captain in town!

I didn't think there were any head boats left in southern MD. The Elizabeth S use to go out of Solomons. I heard it caught fire a few years back. It was a nice way to spend a fall Friday evening, soaking bait in the bay.

OP a rescue step is your good friend:

You can purchase one or fashion one on your own. It serves a twofold purpose. 1) as a rescue step to allow reentry into your vessel if you aren't in shallow water 2) allows to right a flipped vessel. Tight lines and stay safe out there.
