when we lived in Virginia our neighbor decided to let his dog start using our front yard to walk his dog. Silly man. He had a little tiny doggie, we have 2 labs, who do you think won that turd war? Amazingly smart man, he got the hint in two days.

Ya ever notice you don't see white dog turds anymore like when we were kids? Wonder why that is?

The disappearance of white dog poo is down to what dogs eat these days.

White dog poop is the calcium left behind as the water evaporates, and the 'organic' components of the poop are consumed (in various ways) leaving the inorganic stuff behind.

But nowadays dogs don't eat as much bone as they used to, including bone meal. Also, tighter regulation on dogs crapping everywhere means that turds don't hang around for years in public places like they used to, giving them less opportunity to dry out and turn white.

Yep! My dogs are on a raw food diet (been feeding it for 10 years) and their crap always turns white. It's great cause I never have to clean up my yard since it all just breaks down. It's amazing how much less they "go" (and how little it smells!) when they are on a good diet compared to dogs on regular kibble and commercial diets. Stools are waste after all- it's everything the dog's body can't use.

It's not vegan actually. It's meat, bone and veggies all ground together. The meat sources are all hormone and antibiotic free, the chicken is free range and the beef is grass fed. The veggies are all organic too. They love it!

Greyhounds eat raw foods when they are in their racing years. Raw meat, peaches and beer.

We have some new neighbors and they let this beast run around with no supervision. It just wanders through everyones yards like it owns them.
