Lima beans are gross! Super, especially gross. You know what they feel like when you bite into them? Baking soda paste and they don't taste any better either. Yuck, yuck, yuck!

yeah i know, but how many of you remember exactly what happened in school 30 years ago, to the extent that some people are making some of these arguments? I'm doubting it.Some of us were actually in HS 30 yrs ago.
I may have had a 2 page essay written in response to some of the stuff I saw in the first 100 posts, but then after I realized the topic had DRASTICALLY changed I deleted it all and went with that comment instead.

This has NOTHING to do with lima beans but....
I am just curious if SMCPS is as laxed on depositing checks as CCPS is. They will deposit checks for the school lunch account the same day but wait weeks if not months to deposit checks for field trips, movie night, and dances. It's frustrating trying to remember when I'm balancing the checkbook that I have to flip back a page or two to subtract all the checks that I wrote to the school that haven't been deposited yet.

The checks for lunchs go into one account and get deposited weekly....the other one(s) go to either the teacher and/or the person doing the activity and they deposit them when they usually get all of them and/or all the activities done for the month
We've been in the county school system for quite a while and I've seen a check take up to 2 months to clear for field trips

Ok.. that makes sense but it's still a PITA. I would send cash but then you risk not having record of it if something happens or it gets lost and my sons don't end up getting to go because it "appears" we didn't pay. This is my 3rd year with the school system but now that I have 2 kids in school, it doubles the amount of checks that I have to keep track of.
