Any suggestions for a hair salon for a 20 month old? I need to get my little girl's haircut. This will be her first haircut. I know pretty much anyone will do it but just asking if anyone knew of anyone that was really good working with toddlers?

Go to Toby's in Lexington Park right next to the Mixing Bowl and Peking restaurants and ask for Meredith. She cuts my 2 yr old sons hair and does a good quick job.
She has three daughters of her own (the youngest is 3) so she has plenty of experience.

Before I moved I use to take my daughter to Hair It Is. They always did a good job and very patient.

Go to haircuts plus. Ask for Jacky. She does a great job. It's in Lex. Park.

Haircuts on kids are scary. Joshua just got his haircut at the exchange, and the lady butchered it. I finally broke down and took the clippers to him last night, he's a pretty cute kid, even without all his hair!

I can't imagine paying Hair It Is prices for a toddler, but that's just me.

I take my kid to any of those cheapy Unique Chic type joints. For her 1st cut we went to the place on Great Mills Road just up from Aldridge Ford. They have a cute red celica for the kids to sit in and I got some good pics.

You are absolutely correct...it is a bit expensive. She was my first born and of course I over did it with her. That's before I knew just how expensive kids were gonna be. Don't get me wrong they did a good job but now that I moved to Florida I've been taking her to the Hair Cuttery. Not sure if there is one up there but they seem to do a great job here. Another thing I learned about spending lots of money on a haircut for a toddler is....she will cut her own hair right after you spend the money on having her hair done, and wake up in the a.m. with a lollipop stuck in her hair (and your gonna have to cut it out yourself.)

Yeah I don't know about Hair It is...a little pricey for a toddler. I was thinking of Hair Cuttery myself. I little nervous about her first haircut...but can't have her look like a ragamuffin ya know. Jabba-I wanna see the pics with the red celica.

I take my 5 yr old to Unique Chic in San Souci. He likes having the women make a fuss over him. (don't know where he get's that from)

Until I was 11, my mom always cut my hair at home...but then again, she was a licensed hair cutter. And a few weeks ago when I got my bad haircut at BJ's Accent on Hair?? My mom evened up the sides for me the next morning, when we discovered they weren't even.

My 17 month daughter is going to need a haircut soon. I wonder if I can delay it until spring. We were thinking of visiting the granparents in Orlando and take her to get her first haircut at the barber shop in the Magic Kingdom's Main Street U.S.A. It's an old fashioned style barber shop and they give a "First Haircut" certificate.

If she doesn't want to pay Hair It Is prices for a toddler (and I don't blame her) this suggestion might be a little over the top...

Good info though! I didn't know they did that at Disney...

I wasn't actually suggesting someone go to WDW. I was thinking about posting a thread myself about where I can take my daughter.

My daughters cuts have always been free from her hairdresser cousin. :yay:

First one was when she was 5 months old to get the hair our of her eyes.

i didn't know they did that in WDW. but I think that would be awful pricey for a haircut :lmao: I want to take the girlieto WDW, but wanna wait till she is a little older. I think i'm gonna get her aunt to cut her hair. Attempted hair cuttery....all jay did was scream. So much for that thought. :lmao: You would have thought someone was hurting her.
