Doesn't this say $4.50?

Two different rates. The $2.10 is for commuter rate where you pay $52.50 up front and have to use or lose within 45 days. $4.50 is the correct EZ Pass rate. It would be $6.00 if you did Video tolling.

I hear the process to mail you a toll bill is running months behind. I've been over the bridge numerous times over the last several months and have yet to receive a bill. I was thinking what Kyle said was true.....all of the sudden, when I go to renew my registration, I'll be hit with some whopping bill for tolls and fines. Stay tuned........

On January 29th, 2021 I received a toll notice of crossing the Harry Nice Bridge on June 13th, 2020. The $6.00 fee was due on January 21st (notice mail date was some time in December). I was rather perturbed at having to pay the $25 late fee given the fact that Maryland mail has been screwed up and late for a month or two now. I called the phone number on the notice and explained that I just got the notice 8 days after the toll was due. The lady said it takes 12 days for the late fee to kick in and to just go ahead and pay the $6. I did that and made note of who I spoke to and the date. Also the automated system said my toll was paid in full, so hopefully this late fee won't pop back up as an issue.

I received a toll bill on 1/20/21 that showed video toll hits from 6/23/2020. All said and done it was $16.00. The kick in the pants was the mailing. The bill was postmarked 1/2/2021, I received it on 1/20 and it was due on 2/2. There was no way I was going to drop a check in the mail and hope it got to Glen Burnie and processed by 2/2.

How do you think they're paying for the new bridge to replace the Nice bridge?

If the new bridge were paid for with tolls from the old bridge, then the new bridge won't have tolls right? Or will the new bridge collect tolls to pay for the bridge that comes in 2050?

I haven't crossed the 301 bridge in months but I've also NEVER received a bill in the mail.

You might not remember way back, the original Harbor Tunnel had a toll set up on it until it was paid for. Then the MD legislature realized if they kept the money rolling in they had a little slush fund to use on any pet project they wanted. I believe they used the same ploy on the 1st Bay Bridge but never stopped the tolls.

I didn't live here, but I am well aware that toll roads and bridges never lose their toll. I remember when the Golden Gate bridge finally paid off it's construction loans (early 70s), but not only did they not remove the toll they increased it and continue to do so. I heard they are going to $10 soon.

I have no issue with paying tolls as long as the money goes back into the pot to build and maintain roads. Unfortunately that ain't MD (or at least it never used to be).

Another question. Why has it taken 6 month to send out the bill for the toll. Then they give you 12 days to pay it?
Obviously they think you are better at paying bills than they are at sending them
