Your above phrase is incorrect. If you read it you will see that what you are actually saying is that you do care, and if you wanted to "you could care less". If you "could care less" that means you care somewhat right now.

I think that you are trying to communicate that "you could NOT care less" meaning you do not care at all now and no matter how hard you tried you could not care any less than you do right now which is zero care.
