Yea, last time he "cried", Goodyear scrambled to fix their fukced up tires. He's not the only driver complaining either. Lets see what they do this time. :smack:

This is BAD publicity for Goodyear when a 2 time champion rags on their product.

I expect Tony will get his mouth slapped, too. :frown: I hope not. He's just telling the truth....and he's the only one with the balls to say anything. :jet:

If it wasn't the tires, it would be something else with him.imo........I just never cared for Tony, or his mouth...I wonder if he had won, would he have
said the same.

He did get 2nd. OK...it's not a win, but  and he still said it.
I like that about Tony....if it needs to be said, he's the one that will say it. :yay:

Exactly. Win or lose, he's going to tell you like it is. Even good lil Junyer complained in the post race interview about the tires.

You could see every car getting almost sideways coming off the corners.
Time to get new rubber in there.

I agree with his balls to express his opinions openly....that I do respect.
But there are times. imo. where he is more of a hot head and a complainer of other drivers or teams, when it doesn't go his way.....reminds me of Rusty.

sorry, clevalley

Article from USA Today, in today's headline has remarks from Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon about the lousy tires. Junior said tires were so bad you couldnt race side by side for fear of wrecking. Like someone already said in here this morning every time they came out of a turn you could see the cars juggle back and forth.

I have Goodyear tires on the Monteroas it was all the shop had when I had the tires replaced.

THEY SUCK. I won't put a Goodyear tire on a moped anymore. Next time, I'll spend a little more money and go buy Bridgestone or Michelin tires.

As far as the race tires, they sucked. Those cars were sideways loose off every corner. I only watched 17 laps and it looked like everybody was going to wreck each and every single lap.

It's the same thing week in and week out with Goodyear, the tire is either too hard and guys are spinning and wrecking or the tires fall apart after 15 laps because they ware down so fast. Sometimes, it's both.

I wish NASCAR would let there be two tire comapnies like in the early-90s.

Bridgestone's on all the 3 of my vehicles.:yay:

They sure do good in the mornings while racing on Rt. 5 coming into work:killingme especially when Im drafting with the car in front of me doing 70/75 and I go to pass and have to go side by side, sure dont want it to wiggle when I go into the curves by the Hughesville bypass.:sarcasm::killingme

Sometimes it seems like a race track, you pull over to the slow lane although you are already doing 60 to 65 to let someone pass and then thinking Ill pull back into the fast after he goes past and its like 5 to 10 cars come wizzing by before you can get back over, I feel for these race drivers that get caught up in that on the track and get sucked back about 5 positions or more.:starcat:

I don't take Route 5. I try to avoid Route 5 Waldorf at all costs.

Now, I295 in D.C., that was a racetrack yesterday. I was just keeping with the flow of traffic, driving no faster than the cars in front of me, and traffic was hauling ass. I looked at the speedometer and it was 100 mph.

I guess 95 is the speed limit there.

When was it Hoosier and Goodyear competed in NASCAR for a year or two? Had to be the mid to late 80's.

Hoosier competed through, as late as, the 1994 season. They might've been there in 1995 as well, I think Goodyear because the only and exclusive tire in '96.

I disagree. He still would've said something if he won. I remember him winning a race and using his victory lane interview to bad mouth Pontiac one time.

Gibbs announced that week that they were switching the Chevy.

Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace, and sometime Mark Martin are the only ones who aren't afraid to hold back and tell us what's on their mind. :jet:

Dale's dead, and Rusty's retired. That leaves Tony, Kevin and Mark.

I loved the one time Tony kirked out about NASCAR having a 45 minute caution under practice to "pick up the debris on the apron that nobody races on anyway" and how they "screwed us out of an hour and a half of practice." He went on: "Maybe since Brian France is making billions of dollars, he should pay to have a few spotters around the racetrack to look for debris." :killingme:killingme:killingme

Then he went off on Chris Powell at Las Vegas, "I don't know that Chris Powell has an engineering degree or knows how to build a racetrack."

:killingme

I love it when Tony opens his mouth and tells it like it is. :killingme:killingme:killingme
