Took B.P. @ Wal*Mart Last Night

Had to go last night to get a couple things and I saw their B.P. checker.
Shouldn't have used it. B.P. was something like 165/80.

After that, I did a little "research" and found that fish/Krill oil and garlic are good for high B.P. control without having to resort to meds.
I refuse to resign myself to needing meds to control high B.P. at 43.
So tonight, it's back to Wally*Mart.

I still think that 400 daily mg of Phenytoin Sodium that I have to take has something to do with it though.

After you're done self-diagnosing and self-prescribing, please come back and let us all know what a stroke feels like. TIA!

Well, what would YOU do?

Let's see, given the choice between looking up random, anonymous blogs on the internet to decide to eat krill or discuss it with someone who has many years of education (maybe even a Doctorate!) and asking their advice.... Hmmm...

Suppose your car was making a nasty noise when it shifted. Would you take it to a mechanic? Or would you ask the dude handing your Happy Meal out the window what to do?

Go ahead. Eat plankton. Snarf some garlic. It's not like you'll be hurting your non-existent chances with the ladies.

Most likely, you would not even be treated for a BP of 165/80. Take your little girls panties off, put on your big girl britches, and quit eating salty foods. Most likely you at something salty and it made it spike. Take a look at this Blood Pressure Chart - Normal Blood Pressure Range

BTW, I've been on BP meds for years without side effects.

You're right - but he should still discuss it with his Dr., who can determine if it was a fluke or if it is something more serious.

WalMart and all store bp monitors are notoriously inaccurate. First, when was the last time it was calibrated? What size is your arm vs. cuff size? Did you walk across a hot parking lot and go straight for it,or did you sit quietly for about ten to fifteen minutes and then take it? There are simply too many variables to freak out over one reading.
