Took B.P. @ Wal*Mart Last Night

WalMart and all store bp monitors are notoriously inaccurate. First, when was the last time it was calibrated? What size is your arm vs. cuff size? Did you walk across a hot parking lot and go straight for it,or did you sit quietly for about ten to fifteen minutes and then take it? There are simply too many variables to freak out over one reading.

That's true. That's why I'm not worrying about it too much.
Thing is, high B.P. runs in the family; both sides; so when that kinda "news" comes out, others kinda freak out.

I'm gonna try the holistic remedies first; dark chocolate in moderation.....well, all of this:

Omega-3 fish oils, garlic, drinking 8-10 cold glasses of water daily, green tea,
proper diet; THIS will be a trick though.

Stick to that. Don't talk to your doctor, just load up on home remedies. Besides, strokes aren't always fatal.

One reading isn't enough to determine your BP. Record it every day for a week or so. If you feel it's high, make an appointment with your doctor.

Or eat krill and garlic and feel like you fixed it and update your will. You're going to have to entirely change your lifestyle if you're not taking BP meds. My husband's doctor is a BP fanatic. He put my husband on BP meds until my husband was able to get it down on his own through a total change in diet.
