Charles Rangel is nothing more than a WAR MONGER

wouldn't call him a war monger, I just think his methods for achieving his goals (reducing the chance of soldiers being sent to war, evening the representation in the military between the classes of society) are more then a bit flawed.

Well, I was actually being sarcastic. But the reality is Rangel's push for this isn't born in reality. He is just trying to make the point that we don't have enough troops to fight on all these fronts so, therefore, if we aren't willing to institute the draft we need to pull out of Iraq.

When the dems are bent on providing us with daily body counts you really believe Rangel wants to add more to that?

I think if the draft was returned, the government would have white college kids (girls and boys) and lower-class people pulled in. Although it would be nice to see Paris Hilton over in Iraq with an AK-47 in her hand. That'll never happen. It'll come down to whoever has the $$$ doesn't go to war.

Women aren't required to register for Selective Service, so they won't be drafted.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington .

Hmmmm...I wonder if the public would have a say. I think it would be largely unpopular and would kill the Democrats chances in 08'.

I didn't see any crazy googly-eyed Republicans calling for a draft.
