Toxic and/or Ineffective Sunscreens

I found this information to be quite enlightening about the toxic components of many sunscreens, not to mention many of them are rated in-effective also:

You can see them listed by lowest toxicity and highest effectiveness - many of which I've never heard of. I then did a search on Coppertone and was shocked as I have used this brand so much in the past - yikes.

I went to Puerto Rico twice this year (so far) and the first time I went I got a HORRIBLE sun burn. I have never burned like that before, and I am NOT one to peel, but I peeled from my forehead to my ankles.

Come to find out, it was because I bought the generic brand of sunscreen. It was the CVS dry oil spray and I bought both the 30 and the 50 and the 85 lotion for my face.

I know it was this because the 2nd time I went I spent just as much time in the sun and no burn. The only thing I did differently was I spent a little more money for name brand sunscreen. So just to put my 2 cents in; PLEASE DO NOT EVER skimp on the sunscreen!!
