Another story I read says the last two in Portland are closing. So yes, all stores in the city limits (but not surrounding area).

Let me start off by saying I pray that I am wrong. But, it seems that sooner or later we will be in a war with China. It won't be during Biden's tenure. The Chinese love him. Walmart gets a lot if not most of their inventory from China. Due to a war, Walmart may not be able to stock their shelves. They may last a little while from their warehouse inventory if it exists. As for our Walmart, look at the huge picture, up high as soon as you walk in the store and what do you see? When looking at the picture, you will see what I mean. Don't fault Walmart. They have to appease someone.

The US and China are too codependent on each other economically. Although we will flex at each other we will never be in direct conflict.
WM should have said that stores were closing due to poor bottom line figures from theft, if that indeed was the case. Let the people know the truth.
Not all the shoppers stole. But the closure will impact all of them 1 way or another.
Decades ago there was a store in NJ called Service Merchandise. They had 1 of each item on display. You got the item number then went to a counter where the retrieved the item from the back. This concept never caught on, especially at a grocery store. But I can see this happening with items like power tools & electronics. Heck, even the pen at the bank is chained to the desk. I despise that the many have to suffer for the few that take what doesn't belong to them.
And of course 1 of the videos had a person pulling the platinum race card because how dare WM not keep losing money in the hood. Maybe if cancel culture would cancel ghetto culture, you could have nice things close by to where you live.

Had one where we lived in Massachusetts and Ohio.
There was one in Waldorf in the same shopping center as Hechingers.
Had one at Mayfield Mall in Mountain View, CA.
We had one in Waldorf in the 90's ...
There had been an upscale store W Bell and Co that was also a catalog type store ..
Walmart should turn them in to Delivery Warehouse Locations .... with the price of gas, $ 99 bucks a year is a bargain
