I think there have already been accidents at Smoke Hill & Wildewood Parkway so I can't say, "IF THEY DON'T GET AIRPORT RD OPEN SOON there will be an accident ..."

Traffic in Wildewood is insane. They have a flagman there now, but the people coming from the business park believe they have the right of way.
That stop sign was getting ignored. Flagman seems to feel his job is to stop traffic on the parkway for the benefit of the people who work in the business park. Factor in all the school buses and the normal residential and commercial traffic for the several thousand people living there.

I have been caught up in that traffic as I work off of Cottonwood Parkway. It has been interesting to say the least, both coming and going. :jameo: And yes, surprised there hasn't been someone creamed with all the idiotic driving happening. Lots of road rage going on.

Left work at 5:10 yesterday and it took me 10 minutes to get from Cottonwood to Smoke Hill, then another 10 to get to Wildewood Parkway. No flagmen, other than the ones lounging in the grass off to the side while playing on their phones. So the intersection was a free-for-all and people were just rolling through if they thought they could bully their way into traffic.

I am thankful I am off tomorrow and don't have to deal with it. :yay:

They have now started on another phase of the widening of 235 SB at Airport Drive. Ripping up the island at Wildewood BLVD and 235 started yesterday.
Two comments on that, those going south out of Wildewood (right turn) who are use to having a merge lane, be aware you will not have that luxury once the new traffic pattern starts.
The right lane (turn lane) at FDR Blvd is going to be interesting. Right now I tink the stop line is IN the right turn lane. The white lines on the road indicate that any vehicle heading south should be turning right into FDR. But after the road widens, rest assured it will become like the stretch from Walmart south, the minute a driver can jump into the VIP Express Lane they will. Blowing through FDR and the right turn into Harris Teeter.
