Trail Riding in Maryland

just went this weekend to....

A friend and I are looking to go trail riding tomorrow, but are looking for recommendations as to where we should go. We want something that has real trails, not just dirt roads. We've been to Greenwell and St. Mary's River St. Park, and would like something different. And we'd like to stay within two hours of Calvert County. Any suggestions?

Oak Ridge Park.... in Hughesville ..... Loved it!!!!
Then I hear Maxwell Hall, but you need to call ahead. Beach riding offered there.

Both of these are on 231

oh you want a challenge...

okay- so out of these which is your favorite? Which one would be the most challenging?

Call Crofton at Cage Stables here in Calvert. He want you to sign a waiver, and pay a small fee, but he's got some interesting trails. Alot of stuff I wouldn't even think of trying. Also beach riding / swimming. Use to take our horses out for a swim. Not to mention a lot of the fox hunting in Maryland is hosted at his Farm or neighboring Farms that are all connected so you've got some jumps all over the place with alternate ways to get around the jumps if want/need to.
