Trick-or-Treating After 13 Isn’t Normal!

Last time I went trick or treating, I was 11.

That's around when I stopped - sixth grade. That's when I came to a door and a girl from my class was handing out the candy with her parents.
And I was with my younger siblings. I felt embarrassed.

THAT being the case, I still knew kids in high school who were still going until 16.
And I DID tell them they were too old.

I stopped in 7th grade. My two boys stopped when they were in 5th and 6th. They never really liked going trick or treating (not big candy eaters) so they said they'd rather stay home and pass out candy.

Don't remember what age I stopped ToTing, I know the folks in my neighborhood always made up a goodie bag for me until I moved out (small neighborhood in the middle of nowhere, I think our record for ToTers was 13).

Somewhere around the tween/teen years I transitioned from going ToTing to helping hand out the candy, helping with haunted houses, or helping out friends whose parents went all out decorating.
