Where does everyone go to trick or treat? Also does anyone know if any of the churches are doing anything this year. Or the stores?
I usually hit the homeless shelter in SE DC
I only take the kids to trick or treat at their family members' houses. Luckily most of my family lives on the same road.
I remember when I was little that's what my mom did. Only I did not know that most of the people were family. One lady invited me and my cousin in and she wanted to go in and I wouldnt until my mom came up and told me it was ok because we were related to her.
It's just easier for me and it's a bonus fpr my family. We take pics at each house.
If they are all on the same road as you I figure it would be easier. I am looking for something to do with them so that they can get some candy, but not so sure with how cold it is getting that I want them to be out long. So I figured if I could find a place to take them to that a lot of houses are close together so that we dont have to walk a long way and they can get some quick and then come back home. Or something like that. I know when I was young my mom would take me to Wildwood because all of the stores would have someone outside handing out candy, do they still do that?
I'm mean and don't give my kids much candy so Halloween is mainly about dressing up to them. I can get away with it now because they are still so young.
My daughter will do the traditional house to house candy begging - same as I did growing up. We normally take her in my neighborhood - which is a townhouse neighborhood - but since I'm bedridden my sister will take her to her neighborhood. I'm sad I have to miss walking around with her!
I'm trick or treating in my neighborhood. But I'm just wondering what time is appropriate to start?
I think they start about 5 or so?
I think they start about 5 or so?
6 or so is customary. People are still eating at 5 and it's still light out.
