Trouble at Linda's Cafe (witnessed)

Your response is typical of today's society. People continue to avoid taking personal responsibility for their actions and obligations. Landlord's getting a percentage of the business is not an uncommon thing. Regardless if she was behind in her rent or failed to pay the 2% she was still in breach of contract. It is amazing that everytime someone can not live up to a contract in whole or a portion of it, something was always slipped in at the last minute. One should never sign an agreement unless they fully understand it and if they do not seek legal counsel at that point, signing it is at their own peril. Maybe she sought out SM Today/Mama Leone owner's advice on how to pay your debts. If thats the case we can understand why she didn't pay the 2%

No one wants to see small business owners fade away, but they have some responsibility to make sure they are abiding by their contacts and fulfilling their obligations. I wish Linda well and hope she is able to reach an agreement on this issue. I also hope if she reopens that someone is able to light a fire under the staff to get them moving at peak times. Service is very slow and the food is not as good as her LP store.

Maybe its because they spent all their time frantically "grabbing phones left and right to get in contact with Linda's Cafe's Attorney and someone that can represent Linda" then "more action and employee's whispering in each others ears and all." and then them informing "inquiring" customers what's going on, dealing with cops, etc... :shrug: I've never been but personally this doesn't sound like a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere :shrug:

This is to bad. :twitch: Weekend breakfast buffet was pretty good.
Service was not always the best but most of them were young and trying.

I heard that on the scanner that there was an unwanted guest and an alarm there today. I never had a problem at Linda's in leonardtown good food and fast service .

Lenny's serves a good breakfast on Sunday morning. I'm not sure whether they're open early any other day. The Frying Pan, in Calvert county is also a good place to go for breakfast on Sunday morning.
