The UK Independent ran the story under the headline, “Trump signs order handing Musk and DOGE more power to slash federal workforce.” The sub-headline added, “The new executive order forbids agencies from hiring more than one new worker for every four who leave government service.” But that was just the start.

image 12.png

Leading off Musk’s status report, President Trump signed a new executive order titled, “Implementing The President's ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ Workforce Optimization Initiative.” Effective immediately, it required all federal agencies to cooperate with DOGE and its cost-cutting operations. It ordered agencies to “coordinate and consult with DOGE to shrink the size of the federal workforce and limit hiring to essential positions.”

It also ordered the Office of Personnel Management to publish new rules governing federal worker conduct. Now, federal workers will be required to (a) be citizens, (b) timely file their tax returns, (c) comply with non-disclosure requirements (i.e. stop leaking), and (d) not engage in “theft or misuse of Government resources and equipment, or negligent loss of Government resources and equipment.”

Boom again!

Federal agencies were told to plan for “large-scale reductions in force,” by reporting on what functions could be eliminated or combined. The downsizing requirements excluded “national security, public safety, law enforcement, and immigration enforcement.”

In short, Trump put more jet fuel in DOGE’s cutting engine, and short-circuited a whole bunch of court orders by offloading some of the work from DOGE to the agencies themselves.

But more importantly, it is another avenue of attack against the deep state. Leaking, and intentional or even negligent waste, are now terminable offenses. Any bureaucrat resisting DOGE’s work will now breaking a direct executive order.

The new conduct rules target the exact class of people who abuse the system the most— the “Resisters.” The courts may have stalled President Trump’s firing orders, but he just sidestepped them, and built in large-scale reductions in force, by requiring four employees to be laid off by the agencies for every new hire.

Without waiting for any possible Congressional budget cuts, the agencies must start shrinking immediately. Good luck enjoining that.

In just the last 24 hours, Trump has deployed the threat of a historic, Swamp-draining reconciliation bill, forced deep-state classified disclosures, devastating counter-leaks, public-official grifting investigations, and a new Executive Order requiring massive downsizing and making Resistance a terminable offense.

It was a whole-of-government, belt-and-suspenders strategy. It has created a Deep State doom loop.

You are probably tired of hearing this, but we are truly living in unprecedented times. We’ve never seen anything like this. We are witnessing the first real, systematic dismantling of the Administrative State in American history. It is the biggest battle over the federal government’s power since the Civil War, maybe ever.

I told you Trump could see the activist court resistance coming a mile off. I told you there was a strategy. I didn’t think it would happen this fast.

How much do you like it?

Love it, all of it.

Trump is ending the Proxy War, and fast. He’s mainly doing it by cutting out the slow-walking, warmongering Europeans. I’ll show you in a post featuring four headlines and a Truth. Here is the first headline, from Reuters this morning:

image 14.png

We are peering through a fog of diplomatic war, so we don’t know exactly what’s going on. But new Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent went to Ukraine Wednesday to deliver a “proposal” for continued U.S. support in Ukraine. Sources suggest that Trump wants payment for all our previous and future support, to the tune of $500 billion dollars, which would be secured by mineral rights in mineral-rich Ukraine.

Many commenters also think the proposal includes an audit of the money already provided. Wouldn’t that be spicy. Even the suggestion of an audit would probably send Zelensky racing to his panic room.

Remember when everybody was upset because Trump and Speaker Johnson acquiesced to the last big Ukraine funding round? Trump already had an idea of how to get our money back. Zelensky is riding the horns of a big dilemma. If Ukraine refuses to agree to pay us back, then Trump has everything he needs to refuse to provide any more aid.
It’s only fair they should pay us back.

That’s how Trump plans to solve problem number one: Zelensky and the Ukrainians.

Trump DOJ fires 20 Biden immigration judges

The housecleaning matches one the Biden administration did when it took office in 2021, clearing out many Trump picks from the immigration courts.

Among the new firings, according to the department source, was Kerry Doyle. She had been a critic of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement before she was appointed to be ICE’s principal legal adviser.

While at ICE, she shepherded through lenient policies toward illegal immigrants. The Biden administration then tried to burrow her into the regular civil service by converting her from a political appointee, the department source said.

Ms. Doyle’s name was still listed on the court list of the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review as of Friday night.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Teams Up With FAA to Push for Safer, Modernized Air Traffic System

Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy recently welcomed a team from SpaceX to the Air Traffic Control System Command Center in Virginia as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) seeks input from Elon Musk’s company on creating "a new, better, modern, and safer system" for air traffic management. In a social media statement, Duffy stressed that President Donald Trump deserves assurance of safe travel from point A to point B, committing to revamp the industry to enhance safety standards.

“To do that, I need advice from the brightest minds in America. I’m asking for help from any high-tech American developer or company that is willing to give back to our country,” Duffy said.

During the visit, Musk’s SpaceX team will “plug-in” and gain insight into the existing system. They will also understand air traffic controllers' preferences and frustrations with their current tools and collaborate on designing a more advanced, efficient, and safer system for the future.

Trump Signs Order Barring Federal Funding to Schools With COVID Vaccine Mandates

The institutions affected include educational service agencies, state education agencies, local education agencies, elementary schools, secondary schools, or any institutions of higher education that require students to receive COVID-19 vaccines to attend in-person educational programs.

“President Trump is committed to protecting personal freedoms and ensuring that Americans’ education isn’t conditioned on unnecessary government mandates,” the White House fact sheet states. “[He] is dedicated to ensuring that American students are not forced to choose between their education and their medical freedom ... fulfilling his campaign promise: ‘I will not allow schools to impose COVID vaccine mandates.’”

In his first week back in office, Trump reinstated service members dismissed for refusing the COVID vaccine, giving them full back pay and benefits. He also revoked former President Joe Biden’s executive order creating vaccine mandates for certain federal workers, federal contractors, and those traveling internationally, although Biden had previously rescinded them himself in May 2023.

Trump’s EO’s to Unleash American Energy and End the Climate Cult Fantasy Is a Big Win for Americans

For four years under President Biden, the American people were forced to endure an administration that was hellbent on pursuing a net zero agenda. Across the country, they pushed these radical and costly climate action plans to fundamentally transform and restrict the energy options available to consumers. Along with this came calls from the Left to ban gas stoves, gas cars, gas-powered lawn equipment, and hundreds of other draconian ideas to limit the freedom of the American people.

If the high cost of these plans wasn’t enough, they have also proven to be unreliable. States and countries that have committed to energy sources like solar and wind as part of this net zero fantasy have experienced rolling blackouts, continually demand that their customers use less, and eventually have to make haste to open reliable sources of generation they had closed down. Isn’t that right, California?

But Trump’s Executive Order 14154 unleashes fossil fuel production and use in America while unwinding much of the damage caused by the Biden administration. Under Trump, the government will promote the production, distribution, and use of reliable domestic energy supplies, including oil, natural gas, and biofuels. And it will also eliminate the electric vehicle (EV) mandate in order to promote consumer choice across the country.

On top of this, a recent memo directs federal agencies to eliminate anything approved under the Biden administration that references climate change; greenhouse gas emissions; racial equity; gender identity; “diversity, equity, and inclusion” goals; environmental justice; and the Justice 40 Initiative. This is a big win for America, but there is still more work to do.

Supreme Court Path for President Trump on Birthright Citizenship

The legal question is who else falls within that exclusion, and President Trump is saying that children of illegal aliens fit into that category. A pair of Supreme Court cases set the bookend for that discussion.

The first was Elk v. Wilkins, where the Supreme Court held in 1884 that a man born on an Indian reservation was not guaranteed citizenship by the Fourteenth Amendment because Indian nations are quasi-sovereign, and therefore Elk was not fully subject to the political jurisdiction of the United States.

Elk discussed much of the history and quotations listed above, and went on to reason that Indians not covered by the Citizenship Clause are on the same footing as “the children of foreign subjects,” who are in the United States on a temporary basis, and that both groups have the same constitutional citizenship rights as “the children of ambassadors” – meaning that the Constitution did not promise them citizenship at all.

The second case is U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark, where the Supreme Court held in 1898 that the Constitution did secure citizenship for the child of two Chinese nationals living in California. Their son, born in America in 1873, had visited China and was denied reentry because he was not treated as a citizen, until the Supreme Court declared that he was.

While Wong Kim Ark might seem problematic, the court there reasoned that the parents had renounced all ties and allegiance to China and were living permanently in the United States, which is important because an illegal alien has no permanent status in this country. And they were here lawfully. Immigrants from China were not able to become American citizens at that time because of the (racist) Chinese Exclusion Act, so these parents had become as close to citizens as the law allowed, and they lived here legally and permanently when their son was born in the U.S.

There was also broader language in the court’s opinion that would cover the children of other noncitizens as well. But that language is what courts call “dicta” instead of the “holding” of the court. That term refers to words in the court’s opinion that are not legal reasoning that was necessary to answer the question before the court. Dicta is not binding precedent entitled to stare decisis protection as settled precedent that would constrain the Supreme Court in the future.

I don't know why this is being argued. Just let children born here have their citizenship. And if the parents are here illegally they can either take the kid with them when they go or they can leave it here and an American family will adopt it.

Seems pretty simple to me.

BREAKING: President Trump's HUD Secretary Scott Turner is set to begin massive firings at the department very soon. Up to 4,000 employees may be on the chopping block. FYI, HUD has close to 10,000 employees in total. This could be the most significant workforce reduction in this administration so far. Instead of paying bureaucrats to sit in DC offices and collect checks, perhaps HUD can now focus on its mission statement of "housing & urban development."
